About AIL LET

Army Institute of law(AIL) conducts the Law Entrance Test which is also abbreviated as AIL LET. The Army Institute of Law is affiliated to Punjab University Patiala. The AIL LET will be conducted in online mode in the first week of July to shortlist aspirants for admission in BA LLB course offered at the college. The candidates pursuing BA LLB will be offered a total of 80 seats distributed in different categories. Aspirants can secure their seats in Army Institute of Law by appearing for AIL LET  Exam. The admission will be done on the basis of marks/score obtained in law examination and the eligibility criteria prepared by the institute.

AIL LET Exam Pattern

AIL LET test pattern comprises of 200 questions that candidates need to attempt in two hours duration. Law Entrance Test conducted by the Army Institute of Law consists of objective type questions and the standard of questions asked is similar to topics studied by candidates at the 10+2 level. The medium if instruction in AIL Entrance exam is English.

AIL LET  Marking Scheme
There is no negative marking in the AIL Entrance Exam. For every correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark. Maximum score a candidate can get in AIL Law Entrance Test is 200 marks.

Eligibility

Candidates meet AIL LET eligibility criteria if they have cleared Class 10+2 examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognised as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala, with at least 45% marks. On the other hand, any candidate who has passed 10+2 through open university systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in Law Courses offered at Army Institute of Law.

 

Army Personnel

  1. Wards of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army.
  2. Wards of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalised family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/invalided medical board. This includes ward of the recruits who are medically boarded out and granted disability pension.
  3. Wards of ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or release after ten years of service.
